Summary:
The Assembler III will be responsible for assembling various components in the manufacture of assemblies/sub-assemblies to deliver final product. This role has the job knowledge and skills to troubleshoot various components including battery electrical.
Essential Duties:
Lead assembly team members by overseeing assembly line(s)Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components; review and utilize all electrical and hydraulic diagrams to perform repairs identified during the troubleshooting processCross-train assembly team members to perform assemblies at multiple sub-stationsResponsible for efficient operations and assembly tasks at different workstationsPosition and fasten subassemblies through torquing, assembling components such as, wires, hoses, instrument panels, doors, handles, and underbodiesRoute all harnesses through facilityUse manipulators and tools with standard work instructionsComplete function testing and support validation checksServe as first line of defense by observing components through ongoing quality checksAssist in driving back defects to the point of origin along with identifying and assisting in implementation of corrective action(s)Workplace Organization (WPO); maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety procedures, rules, and proper 5S standards; use best practices to follow all safe procedures in assembling and testing of models/products in assigned job functionMust certifyOther duties, as assignedMinimum Qualifications:
At least 3+ years’ experience in automotive manufacturingPrevious assembly experienceAdvanced computer, math, and reading skillsAbility to multi-task and adapt to a changing environment and processesMust be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordinglyAbility to communicate with leadership and fellow team members in both written and verbal forms at a level above standardMust be team orientedAbility to effectively lead, coach, inspire, develop, and motivate teamsProvide guidance and support to peersPreferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED or certification program in equivalent fieldFour years’ experience as an assembler (preferably in automotive industry)Previous leadership experienceCompetencies:
