**Job Title: Mechanic** **Job Description** We manufacture concrete leveling machines. The mechanic will be responsible for assembling these machines from blueprints using hand and power tools. Tasks include using lifts and a small overhead crane to lift the machines, performing electrical wiring from schematics and blueprints, wiring harnesses, and other electrical components to the control panel, and hooking up all tubes and hydraulic lines. The mechanic will also test the machines to ensure functionality, including connecting a computer to the machine for diagnostics. It typically takes 12-16 hours to build one machine, with assembly taking 3-4 hours, electrical work taking 5-7 hours, and testing taking 4-5 hours. **Hard Skills** + 1 year as an auto mechanic + Blueprint reading + Hand and power tool usage + Electrical wiring from schematics + Hydraulic systems **Job Type** This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s). **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in DARIEN, Wisconsin. **Work Environment** 1st shift: M-TH (6a-4p) and FR (10a-4pm). 30-minute lunch break. Work attire includes steel-toe shoes, jeans, and a shirt. The shop area is 2 years old, extremely clean, climate-controlled with huge fans on ceilings, big garage doors, heated floors, and a nice break room.
