You will be an Assembler for the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) team. Our team is responsible for delivering high-quality military sub-assemblies and systems, and we're passionate about speed, agility, and technical creativity.
What You Will Be Doing
As an Assembler, you will be responsible for performing electrical and mechanical assembly operations on critical military sub-assemblies and systems. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all work is done to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Performing electrical and mechanical assembly operations on critical military sub-assemblies and systems
• Following detailed written instructions for solder, harness and cable, mechanical assembly of chassis, drilling operations, line replaceable units, and systems level assembly
• Passing the solder, harness and cable certification course provided by the company
• Working with online work instructions for configuration control
• Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
Candidates must have the
ability to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd , or "D" weekend shift according to the collective bargaining agreement between
Lockheed Martin and the UAW.

Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must be a US Citizen and have the
ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret
Clearance.
Must have the ability to follow detailed written
instructions in the performance of electrical,
optical, and mechanical assembly operations that
include: solder, harness and cable, mechanical
assembly of chassis, drilling operations, line replaceable units and systems level assembly.
Must have the ability to pass the solder, harness and cable certification course provided by the
company.
Must have Prior computer experience required because work instructions are online for configuration control.
Candidates must have the
ability to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd , or "D" weekend shift according to the collective bargaining agreement between
Lockheed Martin and the UAW.
Ability to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
Desired Skills:
• Previous precision drilling on metals and composites
• Taps, laps, reams, scrapes, files and otherwise progressively fits and assembles components for such
assemblies as computers, scanners, radar mechanisms, guidance units, differentials, gyro stable tables,
radar plumbing and similar complex units.
• Performs to engineering specifications a wide variety of complicated assembly operations including the
complete assembly of complex and precise optical, mechanical, electrical units requiring extremely
close tolerances. Reads, interprets and applies information from engineering drawings and may
improvise production aids, develop assembly techniques or recommend changes to facilitate assembly.
• Assembles optical and mechanical components to precise alignments and adjustments, and assures that
critical features such as effective focal length, optical centering and verification, beam deviation, beam
centration, image and surface characteristics, etc. Assembles component parts, as called out by
drawings; fits parts by filing and/or honing to obtain requisite interrelationship where tolerances are
critical: uses precision measuring instruments as necessary, and operates drill press and other equipment
to drill and ream holes

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
