Volt is immediately hiring for Assemblers in West Columbia, SC for our weekend shifts.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

As an Assembler you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tRead work orders, follow production drawings and sample assemblies, or receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.\r\n\tPositions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture or other holding device.\r\n\tCrimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.\r\n\tMounts assembled components to boards or units.\r\n\tInstalls finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.\r\n\tAssembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs and switches, to assemblies.\r\n\tPerforms intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating and color-coding parts and assemblies.\r\n\tTends machines that press, shape or wind component parts.\r\n\tPerforms online go-not-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.\r\n\tSets up station with the correct documents and components per assembly drawing.\r\n\tHandles/install polarized/non-polarized components on designated location on product.\r\n\tAdjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical requirements or dimensional characteristics.\r\n\tAssist in performing repair work.\r\n\tCommunicates any process problems with peers, leads, supervisors and/or engineers.\r\n\tPerform preventative maintenance on production line machinery.\r\n\r\n\r\n

These are full-time, temp to perm opportunities.

\r\n\r\n

The ideal candidate will have:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tHS Diploma or GED, some positions may require higher qualifications.\r\n\tMinimum of 2 years’ experience in manufacturing/ in their respective skillset\r\n\tFamiliar with automated assembly lines\r\n\tGood work tenure with previous employers\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\nPay Rate: $18 - $19.25/hour \r\n\r\nWeekend Shifts available\r\n\r\n1.(Friday 11:00pm-11:00am Saturday and Sunday 11:00pm-7:00am)\r\n\r\n2. (Saturday 11:00am-11:00pm 1hr and Sunday 7:00am-3:00pm )\r\n\r\n*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.\r\n\r\n
