Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of mechanical assembly, tests, and fabrications to ensure the efficient and accurate production of drive units and related components. You will work with hand tools, assembly fixtures, and other equipment to meet customer specifications, while also ensuring quality control through inspections and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical Assembly & Fabrication: Assemble drive units and components using various hand tools, assembly fixtures, adhesives, and lubricants according to work instructions for different drive types.Inspection & Quality Control: Perform inspection operations on various products in both standard and non-standard environments to ensure quality standards are met, including verifying the use of correct torques, Loctite, and other specifications for bolts and screws.Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to failed air pressure and tension tests, ensuring that all products meet operational requirements before delivery.Material Handling & Machining: Operate saw machines to measure, cut, and process materials based on customer requirements, with a focus on precision and accuracy.Barrel Inspection: Inspect aluminum barrels prior to cutting to ensure that all materials meet quality standards and are free from defects.SAP Knowledge: Utilize basic SAP knowledge to track inventory, update production statuses, and assist in workflow management.Adherence to Safety & Work Standards: Follow all safety guidelines, work instructions, and company policies while performing assembly tasks and ensuring a clean and safe working environment.Qualifications:
Proven experience in mechanical assembly and fabrication, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.Proficiency with hand tools, assembly fixtures, adhesives, lubricants, and basic mechanical equipment.Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control and precise execution.Basic knowledge of SAP for tracking and managing production processes.Experience with troubleshooting air pressure and tension testing systems.Ability to operate saw machines and measure/cut materials accurately.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.Familiarity with standard mechanical principles and the ability to follow detailed work instructions.Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move materials and equipment as required.Comfort with standing, bending, and operating machinery for extended periods.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with drive units or similar mechanical assemblies.Additional training or certification in mechanical assembly or manufacturing processes.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00
