Assembly/Deburr Technician Floater

Ability to “float” between the Deburr and Assembly departments as business needs require.

Job Summary

Follow detailed work instructions to assemble precision aerospace components using various hand tools and other specialized tools.  This position requires attention to detail and the ability to follow quality control and production processes and other techniques for maximizing and maintaining a high degree of quality. Perform finish deburring on machined aerospace components using a wide variety of deburr tools (pencil grinder, hand finish tools, abrasive wheel polishing/blending, abrasive pad polishing). Utilize borescope for the precision deburring of critical features inside various cavities of machined parts. Ensure all parts paperwork and documentation is completed properly. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Read and follow work instructions and sketches to assemble high-quality aerospace components using specific tooling, torque drivers, and hardwareDemonstrate proper use of simple hand and machine tools to perform unique assembly processesUtilize measuring tools such as dial indicators, calipers, and micrometers to attain proper assembly-build requirementsPerform inspection in accordance with requirements of Certified Operator programPull and scan required components or sub-assemblies from flow racks or bin locationsConduct physical inventory of parts or assemblies in designated areas. Execute Purge process as neededReview and understand deburr callouts per drawingAbility to use measurement instruments and properly select tools with the appropriate materials to perform the task neededMaintain functionality of all production equipment using preventative maintenance measuresWork successfully in a team environmentStrong basic math skills, basic computer, problem solving skills, and verbal communication skillsSelf-motivation and ability to prioritize projects to meet completion datesMechanically inclined with good manual dexterityAbility to perform repetitive workMay occasionally lift and /or move up to 10-50 poundsMaintain 6S order and cleanliness in the assigned area at all timesAdhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisorComply and follow all procedures within the company security policyMay perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Education & Experience Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferredThree to five years related experience and/or trainingMust be able to obtain and maintain all required job-related certificationsOr an equivalent combination of education, training or experience

The hourly pay range for this role is $15.38 - $27.69. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
