Your role and responsibilitiesJob Description: • Must build/assembly electric motors ensure efficiency, operational conformance, product quality and continuous improvement. •\tRead and comprehending diagrams and verify parts to assembly the motor. •\tRequires basic computer skills and ability to use/learn Shop Floor Display system. •\tRequires an understanding of flex flow and day and rank system and able to comprehend all written instructions on how to build motor. •\tRequires the use of various hand tools, air tools, and torque wrenches.•\tThe use of various gages and indicators. •\tAbility to do defect free work by assembling components accurately and meet minimum production guide lines for the area. •\tCommunicate with other operators or supervisors to discuss any part or equipment defects. Identify and order appropriate supplies, parts, and tools as needed. •\tThis job requires strong communication, interpersonal and team building skills to support site objectives. Production operators will be trained to perform task/jobs in other areas of production. •\t Place safety in the workplace above all else and follow safety guidelines along with reporting safety issues.•\t Daily housekeeping.•\t Work overtime as needed. •\tOther duties as assigned.
Qualifications for the roleEducation and Experience Needed:\tHS Diploma or equivalent required\t1 Year of Industrial type experience or military service or in lieu of industrial experience, will consider vocational/ technical high school and technical college courses.\tPrevious motor experience preferred. \tCandidates must have a work authorization that would permit them to work in the United States.Physical Demands:\tRequires repetitive pushing, reaching, pulling, grabbing, bending and twisting motions for parts/motors up to 75 lbs.\tOperate will frequently to constantly use hand tools, power tools, and be able to grip various sizes of components and tools used to assemble motor.\tLifting up to 30-75 lbs. Hoist available. \tUnderstand and use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Eye Protection with side shields. \tOperator will constantly use fine finger manipulation to accomplish pre‐assembly, assembly, or finishing tasks.\tAble to work 40hrs a week and required overtime\tAbility to think independently while successfully functioning in a team environment\tRequires the use of an air manipulator for lifting motors.\tAble to perform task in a manufacturing environment\tStanding on concrete floor\tExposure to sealants, silicone, and various greasesReasonable accommodation can be made to enable people with disabilities to perform the described essential functions of the job.
