Responsible for optimizing processes used in microelectronic manufacturing to develop and perform processes for single and multiple component assembly efforts.  Coordinates day-to-day operation of assembly tools.  Performs engineering sustainment functions and supports component level packaging, printed circuit board (PCB) assembly, and PCB design engineering efforts.

Requirements\:

Perform standard microelectronics package/component selection. Design manufacturing fixtures to facilitate the assembly of complex microelectronics. Demonstrate knowledge of IPC workmanship standards for PCB assemblies

Clearance Required\: 

Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph

Minimum Education\: 

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or the Physical Sciences.  In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, four (4) additional years of experience for a total of nine (9) years of experience plus registration as a Professional Engineer or successful completion of the state Engineer in Training exam.

Minimum Years of Experience\: 

Five (5) years of experience in microelectronics design and assembly, semiconductor and integrated circuit quality assurance, and materials/science/fabrication.
