We are seeking a passionate and highly-motivated Assembly Engineer to join our Final Assembly Production Engineering Department. The primary responsibility of this role is to support the development and implementation of new model preparation at North America Manufacturing Centers (NAMC) sites.
ResponsibilitiesProject planning for upcoming model changes (10%)Simultaneous engineering for vehicle assembly with TMC & TTC (20%)Project management over process setup and equipment procurement (70%)3D CAD/Modeling and 2D drawing studyVehicle structure studyEquipment designEquipment installationProcess designSupporting new vehicle trialsClose collaboration with internal and external groups including NAMCs, TMC, TTC, PE support shops, and Plano divisionsEssential SkillsBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Tech, or equivalent experience in an Assembly Engineering positionExperience in Production Engineering or Manufacturing Preparation (minimum 2 years)Experience with Equipment Sourcing and Installation (minimum 2 years)Experience with 3D modeling and prototype part printing (minimum 1 year)Ability to work up to 20% overtime when requiredAbility to travel up to 20% to all NAM sites as well as Japan only as requiredAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in new model launch preparationAssembly Production Engineering experienceEquipment Controls experienceCompletion of TBP through panel

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $39.00
