Your Role & Impact

As an Assembly Mechanic, you will play a vital role in the production and rework of 737 aircraft fuselage structures. Using your expertise in sheet metal assembly, you will help ensure that aircraft components meet strict quality and engineering specifications. Your work directly impacts the safety, reliability, and performance of some of the world’s most iconic commercial airplanes.

What You’ll Do:

Assemble, install, seal, and rig structural components based on blueprints, technical drawings, and process specifications. 

Perform functional tests and ensure all components meet precise engineering standards.

Use precision measuring instruments and shop mathematics to verify accuracy.

 Utilize specialized tools in the assembly process, ensuring proper fit, form, and function.

Identify and document discrepancies, ensuring all work aligns with quality control procedures.

Conduct routine maintenance on equipment as part of Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) duties.

Move products within the manufacturing area, ensuring seamless workflow and production efficiency.

Train and assist other assembly personnel in installation, inspections, and best practices.

Cross-train in inspection procedures and work towards becoming SIA-qualified.

What You Need to Succeed:

 Required:

5+ years of sheet metal experience in the aerospace industry

 Experience with 737 rework and sheet metal mechanics (structures background is a plus!)

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and process documents

Proficiency in precision measuring instruments and testing equipment

Strong understanding of quality control processes and inspection techniques

Ability to work either shift as required by production needs

 Preferred:

Cross-training in inspection and SIA qualification

Pay Details: $44.64 per hour
