Assembly Operator - 1st Shift

Volt is immediately hiring for Assembly Operators in City of Industry, CA. $20.00 per hour.

\r\n\r\n

Volt has partnered with an Aerospace Manufacturer company, who is need of assembler operators. These operators must be familiar working with aerospace parts.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Assemblers are needed for 1st shift and 2nd shift.

\r\n\r\n

1st shift - 5am to 1:30pm + overtime

\r\n\r\n

2nd shift - 1:30pm to 10pm + overtime

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

As an assembly operator you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tSet up and operate various assembly machines for the assembly of precision aircraft quality blind fasteners.\r\n\tEssential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:\r\n\tReads and interprets documents (blue prints, drawing, or manufacturing work orders), to ascertain what tools and materials are necessary for producing products to precision tolerance to aircraft specification.\r\n\tSets up and operates, on a production basis, all assigned assembly machines and their related products. This includes settings and adjustments required to assemble parts to specifications. Selects, mounts and aligns tooling attachments and materials in proper order and relationship. Makes all adjustments necessary to assemble parts of acceptable quality.\r\n\tMonitors production run using measuring devices, such as, comparators, micrometers, calipers and various other inspect gauges.\r\n\tConducts performance tests on assembled product to ensure product is within customer and/or company specification requirements.\r\n\tReworks and directs reworking of tooling as needed.\r\n\tKeeps accurate statistical process control records, when required, on each job assembled, making adjustments during production run as the SPC data directs.\r\n\tMeets and maintains all productivity levels and quality requirements to support departmental goals and schedules.\r\n\tPerforms minor preventative maintenance on assigned machines.\r\n\tPerforms record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follows safety regulations.\r\n\r\n\r\n

The ideal candidate will have:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tLanguage Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as blue prints, drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.\r\n\tMathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.\r\n\tBlueprint Reading: Ability to read and understand blueprints.\r\n\tEducation and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). A minimum of four (4) years experience in operating various assembly machines; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\r\n\tPhysical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms, and kneel or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.\r\n\tWork Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

\r\n\r\n

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
