Assembly Operator
**Job Title: Assembly Operator** **Job Description** Candidates will be responsible for overseeing the total production process through to the finished goods stage, ensuring product safety and quality. This role involves monitoring multiple high-speed automated production machines, verifying component correctness, performing quality checks using visual inspection and gauges, testing assembled products, filling machine hoppers, maintaining records, loading/threading tubing onto machines, and using a handheld scanner for traceability. Candidates must be able to lift/move up to 25 lbs and reach above shoulder height for approximately 5% of the shift time. Basic math and PC skills are necessary, and proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required to communicate effectively regarding quality and production issues. **Responsibilities** + Oversee the total production process through the finished goods stage. + Ensure product safety and quality of goods produced. + Monitor multiple high-speed automated production machines to ensure quality standards are achieved. + Verify correctness of components and perform quality checks visually and using inspection gauges. + Conduct testing on assembled products. + Fill machine hoppers and perform record-keeping using various production forms and PC. + Load and thread tubing onto machines. + Utilize a handheld scanner for traceability. + Lift and move up to 25 lbs and reach above shoulder height as needed. **Essential Skills** + 1+ years of production or manufacturing experience. + Tenure of 2+ years at the same company. + Basic PC and math skills for orders and computer entry. + Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to communicate and understand quality and production issues. + Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs and reach above shoulder height. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience working in a GMP environment is a plus. + Plastics experience is a plus. + Assembly or operator experience is a plus. **Why Work Here?** This company is recognized as one of the top-ranked companies to work for according to Forbes. Steel toe shoes are required, and the company offers reimbursement for these after full-time hire. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Cary, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
