**Job Title: Assembly Operator** **Job Description** The Assembly Operator utilizes a variety of hand and power tools to perform advanced assembly operations of complex assemblies in accordance with quality and quantity standards. This role also involves training employees in both basic and complex operations. **Responsibilities** + Perform all work in accordance with Standard Work Outline. + Assemble car locks daily based on the hour-by-hour schedule. + Navigate through kits provided to assemble each build. + Perform all work in a safe manner, including the proper use of personal protective equipment. + Follow specified inspection protocols. + Dimensionally check and test production to ensure assembled output meets AQL standards. + Use calibrated precision measuring instruments such as calipers, depth gauges, thread gauges, pin gauges, and other measuring tools. + Inform the Team Leader of any operating, material, or parts conditions that could interfere with quality or quantity production, and coordinate approved actions to resolve issues. + Perform operator maintenance and operational checks on all departmental tools and equipment. + Segregate and periodically dispose of scrap and recycled material into approved collection containers. + Frequently lift and move up to and including 50 lbs. + Engage in standing, walking, bending, crouching, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and climbing as required by the job. + Receive daily direction and support from the Team Leader/Supervisor. + Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. **Essential Skills** + 1 year of experience in assembly, with an emphasis on mechanical components. + Experience using basic hand tools. + Ability to stand for 8 hours. + Good communication skills and attention to detail. + Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work safely. + Ability to read and write to comply with written instructions and complete departmental paperwork. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Attention to detail. + Experience on an assembly line or in production. + Experience with tool use. **Why Work Here?** We are a growing, global company with over 120 locations and more than 10,000 employees working together to ensure a more secure world.
