What You Will Do:
Pratt & Whitney is seeking an experienced, proactive, and goal oriented Process Engineer to Support Production Processes at the new Finland FACO (Final Assembly and Check Out) Facility!
The Process ME will be responsible for specific assembly processes in Finland FACO:
Responsibilities:
Provide focused & effective leadership in the advancement of manufacturing process activities to drive manufacturing risk identification and mitigation to achieve superior quality performance.Identify & implement process optimization & control methods to eliminate/prevent quality turn backs /escapes and reduce overall product costs.As a key member of the manufacturing engineering organization, significant interaction with shop floor personnel, other manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, product designers, tool designers, systems designers, Manufacturing Engineering Fellows / Subject Matter Experts, and other stakeholders is required.Lead significant projects critical to improve manufacturing process capability & quality performanceRepresent the organization in various forums related to MRL execution. Develop standard work, procedures, and integrate industry-standard best practices.Participate in manufacturing process councils that drive systemic process improvements through baselining current process performance and developing continuous improvement actions to improve process standards.Drive manufacturing process technology development, including process modelling, through identification of opportunities to advancing MRL through to production implementation.Communicate lessons learned to:Process development/engineering to enable implementation of design for variation (DFV) and robust design methods (DFSS).Other operational organizations for read across implementation.Specific manufacturing/assembly process knowledge required:Specific process discipline elements…..(assembly, engine system-level knowledge, engine test processes)Implementation of new capital equipment from specification and ordering through delivery, installation and release to production.Help build and maintain shop floor work instructions (including specifications, engineering changes, QAD/process control, and tooling definition/requirements.)Provide Process Engineering Shop Floor Support to Production Military Engine ProgramsQualifications You Must Have:
Demonstrated technical proficiency in complex manufacturing/assembly activitiesDemonstrated proficiency leading and managing a portfolio of cross functional projectsEffective team player with strong good interpersonal skills capable of influencing and getting cooperation and action from others.Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written), work and relate with people at all levels of the organization and be self-sufficient and ability to influence cross functional teamEffective decision-making skills, ability to multi-taskSix Sigma project leadership/management/coaching experience preferredExcellent knowledge of MS office computer software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Able to use Minitab and other statistical software.Proficiency in statistics, data analytics, DOE, and multivariate statistics.U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contractsCandidate will be required to be in West Palm Beach or Connecticut for approximately 3-6 months before relocating to Finland. Planned deployment is Q3 2025

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
