**Job Title: Assembly Technician 2**
**Job Description**
The Assembly Technician 2 produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies. This role involves preparing work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, and gathering necessary parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. The ideal candidate will have the ability to assemble equipment with minimal training using provided tools, drawings, blueprints, or work instructions. We seek someone who is a quick learner, can follow processes efficiently, and is mechanically inclined.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform basic mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
+ Conduct leak tests.
+ Operate hand and power tools to complete assemblies.
+ Read and interpret work instructions to ensure accuracy.
+ Interact with management and team members to encourage effective communication on the production floor.
+ Perform standard testing and minor troubleshooting.
+ Ensure quality standards are met throughout all steps of the assembly process.
+ Perform other duties as required.
+ Maintain regular attendance.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with mechanical assembly and sub-assemblies.
+ Ability to operate hand and power tools.
+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists.
+ Experience with semiconductor equipment assembly.
+ Strong organizational and computer skills.
+ Proficiency in quality checks, using micrometers, and handling both hand and power tools.
+ Experience in assembling large, complex mechanical assemblies or subassemblies.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to handle large and heavy parts, with the capability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
+ Willingness to work 10-12 hour shifts and weekend days as needed.
+ Cable and harness assembly experience is a plus.
+ Cleanroom experience is a plus.
+ Technician coursework or an Associate's Degree is a plus.

**Work Environment**
You will work within various departments, including cleanroom manufacturing, warehouse, and office environments. Most work is conducted in the manufacturing area, and you must be able to wear a full cleanroom suit (bunny suit/smock). Environmental exposure includes frequent interruptions, wearing personal protective equipment where applicable, exposure to electrical currents, moving mechanical parts, and chemicals. The role requires the ability to talk on the phone, use a computer, and work amid various noise levels from manufacturing and office environments.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manor, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.90
