Assembly Technician
Job Title: Engineering Technician Job Description We are seeking an Assembly Technician. You will be responsible for building and testing various parts, components, and system. The position requires an understanding of electrical diagrams and mechanical drawings, as well as the ability to communicate quality issues effectively to the engineering team. Responsibilities + Build and test various parts, components, and systems. + Work with the first iterations of new products. + Read electrical diagrams and mechanical drawings. + Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, torque screwdrivers, calipers, and micrometers daily. + Meet aggressive deadlines and provide support during testing. + Communicate build results, ideas, and problems to supervisors and Design Engineers. + Work on multiple projects simultaneously. + Utilize Digital Manufacturing Tools & Software such as CAD and 3D printers. Essential Skills + 2+ years of relevant experience in assembly/manufacturing of electro-mechanical components in an R&D environment. + Ability to read SOPs, technical instructions, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings. + Experience with electro-mechanical assembly using hand and power tools. + Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and proactivity. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Strong attention to detail. + Familiarity with CAD, 3D printing, and other digital manufacturing tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Soldering skills are a plus. + Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and/or mechanical systems. + High level of craftsmanship and attention to detail combined with the ability to work quickly. + Ability to lift 30-50 pounds daily and maintain a safe working environment. + Experience in industries such as automotive, aerospace, autonomous vehicle, robotics, or similar. Work Environment The team consists of 14 people and operates Monday through Friday, 7am - 7pm, with some Saturdays highly encouraged. The role requires a commitment to working over 50 hours per week. While consultants do not receive PTO, they are entitled to 6 holidays per 6 months on assignment. The work environment is fast-paced and involves collaboration with engineers. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
