Assembly Technician
Job Description A client in the Avionics industry is seeking Assembly Technicians on a contract-to-hire basis. The Assembly Technicians will be responsible for disassembly, cleaning, troubleshooting, overhaul, repair, and assembly of various components and assemblies to ensure they meet specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements. Responsibilities include working from blueprints, production/assembly instructions, parts lists, diagrams, and verbal instructions to assemble, wire, and install subassembly and assembly units. They will accurately interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, system schematics, drawings, engineering orders, and other documents from both the customer and company. The role involves utilizing small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and hammers, as well as using balancing and grinding machines to assemble modular engines. Additionally, they will use cleaning materials to disassemble modules for inspection purposes, measure parts to determine tolerances using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and scales, and inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure they meet specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements. The technicians will also requisition parts and materials necessary to complete jobs using an ERP system and receive and inspect incoming materials to ensure order accuracy.
