**POSITION SUMMARY:**
The associate in this role will be asked to assemble and test X-Ray Optical elemental analyzers. Daily tasks may include mechanical and electric assembly, optical alignment and testing, accurate data recording and reporting, while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
**Responsibilities** **:**
+ Follow detailed process travelers and document all relevant production test data.
+ Build sub-assemblies using various hand tools within specific quality standards.
+ Using proprietary XOS software perform optical alignment of X-ray sources.

+ Ability to work on small assemblies that require dexterity.
+ Ability to learn technical software used to measure optic performance.

+ Excellent mechanical aptitude and ability to handle small or fragile objects.
+ Must be able to work with patience, follow detailed procedures and make pass fail judgment at critical points within the assembly and alignment processes.
+ Ability for recordkeeping with an attention to detail.
+ Must be able to work for long periods of time at multiple computer stations with minimal supervision.

+ Degree in Physics, Math, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred OR student pursuing degree. Alternatively, experience in a similar environment aligning lasers, optics, or sensors with tight tolerances.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $19 - $22.50 USD per hour.
