Assembly Water Spider - 1st Shift

The below is a position with ASPEQ Heating Group. ASPEQ Heating Group is a marketplace leader in innovative electric heating solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial markets. With a portfolio that includes baseboard, wall, unit and infrared heaters as well as ceiling fans and air circulators, we create simplified heating solutions for our complex work.

 

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Water Spider, you will perform numerous tasks to support direct labor (value-added) functions and reduce non-value-added activities currently being performed by direct labor associates.   Take full ownership in creating a structured routine which supports the assembly cells.

Reports directly to Flange Value Stream Team Leader.

 

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

Put away elements for flange and pipe thread areas. Pair up flange, kit and paperwork on the flange rack. Clear off water spider racks in flange areas after breaks/lunch. Take cut slips from saw cut area to stockroom. Maintain inventory levels in the welding supply cabinet. Replenish buss bar material in flange area. Maintain inventory of paint cabinet. Utilize Syteline to for inventory tracking and other transactions. Crane inspection. BOM audits on pulled kits. Disposal of overrun flange elements. Move drilled flanges from machine shop to flange rack. Track and retrieve missing material. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience

One to three months related experience and/or training, Syteline, and Excel 

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

GED, Highschool Diploma

Travel & Working Environment

Employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
