At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Assessment / Evaluation Engineer you will provide services in support of the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM). You will support the design, development, engineering, integration, and technical and operational support to employ specified NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and Deployed Forces (DF) Army portion of the Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN-A). You will support NETCOM in applying architecture to Army Enterprise programs at various life cycle stages. We are looking to hire a full-time Assessment / Evaluation Engineer to support our IT services contract located at Fort Huachuca, AZ.
HOW AN ASSESSMENT / EVALUATION ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Provides technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned project or tasks.
Participates in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, and task orders, administrative reporting.
Working experience with NetOps systems and components to include the following: Remote Access, IA Security, Virtualization, Lab Facility, Asset Control/Logistics, Backup/Restore, Storage, Network, Test Coordination.
Analyze the results of software, hardware, or interoperability testing.
Develop test plans to address specifications and requirements.
Make recommendations based on test results.
Involved in all phases of the testing program, from designing the test parameters to troubleshooting errors, and writing up final test procedures.
Perform developmental testing on systems under consideration.
Perform interoperability testing on systems exchanging electronic information with other systems.
Record and manage test data.
Test, evaluate, and verify hardware and/or software to determine compliance with defined specifications and requirements.
Validate specifications and requirements for testability.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
BA/BS or equivalent experience
10 – 15 years of experience in information technology field
DoD 8570.1-M Certification: IAT level II Certification
Computing Environment Certification, Microsoft Intermediate Certification, CISA, CCNA or equivalents
Security Clearance Level: Secret
Required Skills and Abilities: knowledge of engineering and testing procedures, strong verbal and written communication skills, good problem-solving skills. Microsoft Office suite and working knowledge of Microsoft Visio
Preferred Skills: Current understanding of Army Enterprise capabilities, tools, procedures, and operational constructs.

The likely salary range for this position is $97,750 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Scheduled Weekly Hours:
