ACM

The Alternative Capital Markets (ACM) team works with private wealth management clients (ultrahigh net worth individuals and FOs) on building out and investing in private equity, private credit, private real estate, infrastructure, co-investments and hedge funds.  We do this on both a brokerage and discretionary basis providing an open architecture platform to clients with access to Goldman Sachs flagship funds as well as external well known and well regarded private equity firms.

 

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be part of the ACM EMEA team, which works with PWM clients to build out private markets portfolios on both an advisory and discretionary basis. The candidate would be responsible for many day-to-day responsibilities associated with detailed analysis around private investment funds, fund commentary, fund updates, providing details on private market views and research, preparing strategies to market and getting strategies ready to be discussed with clients given the complex EMEA jurisdictional requirements and registrations. This role is highly analytical and detail oriented.

As a Content Analyst you will 

prepare regular fund updates and ensure current commentary is loaded on the systemprovide quarterly market commentary in a succinct way to PWM sales teamswork with PWM sales teams to ensure proper meeting materials are prepared (leveraging materials off the system)create an easy way to see fund updates quarter over quarter and spot any trend lines; compare versus broader market indices and peers in the space work with fund services, legal and compliance to help with the fund registration processcoordinate with PWM EMEA compliance to help get marketing decks and client facing presentation approvedwork with fund services and controllers to prepare the ex-ante Cost & Charges document run data analytics around private equity fund holders in the region breaking out by office and team and running fund specific targets for various offeringskeep standard marketing materials up to date (Intro to ACM deck, etc.)coordinate any necessarily internal GS committee memos (I.e. New Product Working Group) or approvals help coordinate with sales teams when PWM clients are late funding capital calls and making sure

 

Basic Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Strong academic background Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experienceExperience in similar roles such as Investment Management, Investment Strategy, Investor Relations Strong interest in the financial markets, good investment awareness, intermediate or advanced knowledge of private equity investing principles, performance attribution approaches, data analysisAbility to communicate investment rationales to audiences of varying levels of sophistication.Ability to analyze data and think creatively on how we can better target clients Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen eye for detailExcellent writing and communication skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesEnthusiastic and positive approach to problem-solving and client serviceExtremely Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
