Asset Management Analyst

 

 

OVERVIEW

The Asset Management Analyst is responsible for consolidating and validating the actual, budget, and/or forecast of key performance metrics, key drivers and assumptions to aid in reporting as well as with the development of various models to aid in performance assessment of 3rd party managed assets. Additionally, they assist in the administration of various reporting systems, perform monthly variance analysis, and are responsible for other projects and ad-hoc analysis as requested. Furthermore, the Analyst will collaborate with many departments, including senior management, within the Company and external third-party management companies.

JOB DUTIESGather and consolidate data from several sources and build/update a variety of financial models and reports.Assist with the annual budget process, act as a liaison between Sun and third-party managers.Analyze financial and operational results; research variances and understand the root causes.Provide support for various internal and external reporting models.Assist with corporate cash flow modeling and developing models and analyses to aid in the validation of existing forecasts; support strategic initiatives and assist with reviewing critical financial decisions.Maintain key reporting within various systems to provide timely and actionable financial results.Attend various meetings to disseminate information as needed.Work closely with other internal departments and third-party managers to understand and document variances between actuals and budget.Perform data analytics over large data sets, summarizing the information into executive level summaries.Assist in the development and maintenance of various models and analyses to support strategic initiatives and assist with reviewing critical financial decisions.Other duties and special projects as requested.

REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree in in Real Estate, Accounting, or Finance (Required)3 years real estate and/or financial analysis experience6 months Prior experience with Anaplan and NetSuite softwareExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail, organizational, analytical, multitasking, and problem-solving skillsAdvanced proficiency using Microsoft ExcelAbility to communicate complex information in an easy to understand
