As a Research Analyst on the Structured Equity team in New York, you will support the small and mid cap investment team, which manages several investment strategies with approximately $7B in client assets. The Structured Equity team uses a hybrid investment approach leveraging the best of quantitative and fundamental insights to manage client assets. You will perform fundamental stock specific research on potential investments under the direction of senior portfolio managers.
Job Responsibilities
Research small and mid cap securities for potential inclusion in our portfolios, incorporating views on a company’s value, quality, momentum, and sustainability attributes Monitor news flow, business trends, and performance on existing and potential investment positions Participate in the investment team’s decision making process surrounding portfolio positioning, broader investment decisions, and model enhancements Initiate and maintain written and verbal communications with the investment team focusing on the critical variables driving the investment thesis Work with our client team to effective communicate performance at the stock and portfolio level and develop examples to be used across client materials Build relationships with global equity investors and other teams across the organization
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
3+ year of experience within an investing team (or related experience) Bachelor’s degree Strong analytical and quantitative skillset Interest and/or experience in sustainable investing Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills to work constructively and successfully with other team members Intellectual curiosity with a desire to learn from multiple disciplines Strong work ethic with a drive to outperform and a commitment to continuous improvementPreferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
