As a Japan Client Onboarding Management Associate within the Asset Management team, you will manage and coordinate new account onboarding for J.P. Morgan-sponsored funds and institutional client mandates. You will handle lifecycle events, account-related projects, and support regulatory-driven programs. Your role will involve engaging with key stakeholders, managing project work streams, and ensuring seamless client experiences. You will also contribute to strategic projects to enhance controls and improve service delivery.
In this role, you will collaborate with various teams, including Investment Desks, Product Development, Compliance, and Technology, to deliver innovative solutions and operating models. You will play a crucial role in developing best practice standards and consistency across the global team, ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
Engage key stakeholders and manage project work streams to support initiative implementation. Chair regular meetings, document actions, and track progress to completion. Translate business requirements into project plans and process flows. Provide effective communication and status reporting to stakeholders. Identify and mitigate risk and control issues. Collaborate to resolve challenges and escalate issues as needed. Develop strategic and scalable end-to-end operating models. Review and maintain functional procedures and project management tools. Identify and implement process improvements. Support the global team in developing best practice standards.Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
At least 7 years of experience in Asset Management or relevant Investment Banking. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in English and Japanese. Excellent time management skills. Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Self-motivated and delivery-focused, able to work independently. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders. Team player with a positive attitude and high performance in demanding situations.Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Solid financial product knowledge, including Equity, Fixed Income, Currency, Derivatives, and Funds Investment. Trade flow knowledge from event inception to operational settlement. Understanding of Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency, and Custody. Project Management experience with the ability to manage initiatives concurrently. Experience in account onboarding process in Japan Investment Trust and/or Japan Pension scheme at trust banks.
