SUMMARY

The Asset Protection Intern will support various projects and initiatives that impact the Asset Protection organization as well as other cross-functional teams. The intern has the opportunity to support the field and supply chain Asset Protection Managers through reporting and analysis that focuses on improving profitability and identification of potential fraud and/or inventory integrity issues. There is also the opportunity to provide leadership with insight into trends, root cause, and key performance measures on a regular basis.

GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management and Training Development

Organizing and maintaining project-related documents and training materials for accessibility and accuracy.

Writing, editing, and/or distributing training documents that will be implemented company-wide, ensuring clarity and consistency across all materials.

Schedule and coordinate meetings with key business partners involved in projects, ensuring alignment on objectives and timelines.

Work closely with other Team Members and cross-functional leaders to understand project and training requirements.

Create PowerPoint presentations to effectively communicate project milestones and critical information with key stakeholders. 

Reporting & Analysis

Enable Operations and Asset Protection field team with insights that will directly impact business unit profitability

Partner with leadership to prepare various projects, reports, analysis, presentations, and scorecards

Partner with the AP Solutions and Analytics team to develop key focus areas for the Corporate Asset Protection team

Partner with field Asset Protection team to both develop and conduct user training for the use of Business Intelligence systems, financial concepts and performance metrics

Produce daily/weekly and monthly/quarterly reporting packages

System Administration

Support system activities including, but not limited to, end user support, data validation and reconciliation

QUALIFICATIONS

Rising or Current Senior

Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint skills

Experience with metrics-based analytic programs/software a plus

Strong analytical and organizational skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals or technical procedures

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure

Experience working in retail industry

This position is located in Raleigh, NC. The program dates are June 2, 2025 - August 8, 2025.
