Asset Protection Manager
Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Initiate, manage and document all investigations relating to internal theft, external theft, fraud and policy violationsManage activity of the AP team in the region to include investigations, audits, store visits, and other duties as assignedWork with business partners to execute programs which support areas of Inventory ExcellenceConduct face-to-face and/or telephone interviews with associates suspected of internal theft, fraud or policy violationsMaintain and track inventory numbers for each store in assigned area, pursue trends in shrinkage and devise improvement strategies in partnership with the Regional and District LeadersPerform comprehensive audits of assigned region to analyze business operations and ensure policy and procedural complianceManage Shrink in partnership with the Regional, District and Store ManagersConduct Regional, District and Store level loss prevention training both in person or via telephoneParticipate in Regional and District visits and calls as necessary, to strengthen partnerships and improve the overall awareness of the company shortage reduction programUtilize XBR exception based reporting software to identify areas of loss or exposure within the companyAssist in coordination of physical security programs (alarms, CCTV, safes, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficient knowledge of excepted internal investigation processes and methodologies in a retail environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills requiredMust be proficient in Microsoft OfficeMust be self-motivated with highly-effective time management skillsMust have solid conflict management skills with the ability to work alone in stressful situationsMust have proficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities

Minimum Requirements:

5 to 7 years of loss prevention experience in a specialty retail environment3+ years of multi-unit experienceAbility to pass an extensive background checkAbility to work nights, evenings and weekends appropriate to retail business needsCertified in Wicklander/Zulawski methodologies on interview and interrogation techniques

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or three years multi-unit related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

Up to 60% overnight travel may be required in order to complete the requirements associated with this position
