Asset Resolution Specialist is responsible for the collection of overdue payments for Single Family Loans, Home Equity Lines of Credit and Credit Cards while minimizing collection costs and loan losses on assigned accounts. This role conducts timely and effective collection follow-up in varying stages, and on accounts where a potential for risk to the Bank is evident. This position is open for additional responsibility which could include monitoring Bankruptcies, initiating Notice of Defaults and processing Foreclosures. The specialist must follow and ensure compliance with all regulatory compliance requirements and provide statistical reporting.
Responsibilities Make collection calls on delinquent SFR mortgage, home equity lines of credit (HELOC) and credit cards obtaining reason for delinquency.Verify customer contact information and accurately document conversation into the collections servicing systems. Assist customers in setting payment arrangements while adhering to the Fair Debt Collections Practice Act (FDCPA) and internal policies and procedures.Ensure compliance with state, federal regulations, and investor guidelines.Monitor Bankruptcy (BK) filings on an as needed basis to support the Bankruptcy and Foreclosure Specialists. Handle the foreclosure process for mortgage, HELOC and investor delinquent mortgage loans, including Notice of Intent, Notice of Default, foreclosure bid, etc. as needed. Interact with inside and outside attorneys when legal issues arise on foreclosures, bankruptcy or pending litigation and settlement agreements if needed.Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and work experience required2 + years of customer service skillsBanking, accounting or mortgage experiences preferredExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Bilingual in Mandarin preferred. Compensation The base pay range for this position is USD $20.00/Hr. - USD $28.00/Hr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
