The Research Relationship Management team is part of Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) Americas TPW Business and responsible for leading the investment business development strategy for third party wealth management clients.
How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
Lead and establish relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers across major wealth and asset management firms to drive business development efforts; including senior leadership, manager research and discretionary model teams Primary client contact responsible for all aspects of the investment relationship; including consulting across GSAM’s investment platform (both public and private markets) for business development and servicing existing relationships Partner with National Accounts colleagues on coverage of key partner firms, serving as the subject matter expert for manager research and discretionary model teams; including home office driven investment opportunities such as manager research driven recommendations and discretionary model placementsBuild and maintain trusted, impactful partnerships with internal stakeholders to deliver on client needs; high level of comfort presenting to senior leadershipProvide insights to leadership on competitive landscape, product positioning and client priorities to increase impact Monitoring and analyzing key performance metrics including AUM growth, revenue generation and client satisfactionHigh focus on detail, execution and project management skillsCulture carrier within the team and broader business; provide coaching and guidance to junior team membersBasic Qualifications
15+ years experience of sales and/or relationship management experienceBachelor’s degree and strong academic backgroundSeries 7 and 63 registration requiredIn-depth understanding of the third party wealth client base and competitive landscapeDemonstrated success in building and cultivating relationships with Third Party Wealth Clients, including manager research analysts and discretionary model managersExcellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills; ability to successfully engage at a senior leadership levelAbility to work in a team orientated environment; collaboration and communication are critical Ability to work in a fast paced environment that is extremely dynamicPreferred Qualifications:
Relationships with key manager research and discretionary model manager contacts across major wealth and asset management institutions Experience working across asset classes in both public and private markets CFA preferredSalary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $125000-$290000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
