HOW AN ASSIGNMENT EDITOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Builds and manages a network of journalists in East Asia for news platforms within an internet-based program.
Identifies relevant news stories, assigns tasks to regional journalists, and creates content with editorial team
Tasks may include verifying translations, making recommendations to customer regarding disposition of reader comments, researching news content to ensure conformance to program guidelines regarding sourcing, libel, and plagiarism, monitoring the regional press, finding instances of content propagation, and providing analysis on the reprinting source, and executing technical tasks utilizing locally developed tools associated with internet-based publications.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor's Degree is required in English, Journalism, or a related discipline.
Experience: 3+ years’ experience in writing, editing and/or journalism is highly preferred.
Security clearance level: The selected candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
Skills and abilities: Regional language required: Chinese, Filipino/Tagalog or Vietnamese, with preference given to Chinese. Professional proficiency in English is required.
Location: Remote
Required Experience:
Native-level fluency in a regional language -- Chinese, Filipino/Tagalog, Vietnamese -- is required, including the nuances of grammar and journalism editing standards.

The likely salary range for this position is $77,350 - $104,650. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Scheduled Weekly Hours:
