JOB DESCRIPTION

The Network’s Senior Vice President of Production and Director of Current Programming across Alternative are looking for someone who is passionate about unscripted television to be an Assistant, Production.  The Assistant, Production will serve as the liaison between all senior-level executives in numerous departments across the Network, Studio, and various production companies. The Assistant, Production is a great opportunity for those that want to understand the entire business of the Network and television production from pitch through production, delivery/air (network and other platforms), and international distribution. Please note that this position does not include frequent set visits or script coverage. There will be daily updating of confidential charts to track series, specials, pilots, and talent costs/contracts. 

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare preparing multiple production and post-production calendarsReach out to other assistants to retrieve informationUpdate documentsTrack current showsCreate detailed Excel charts (with formulas and accuracy) which will be used to track Budgets and CashflowsAnswer executives’ phone and tracking messagesCoordinate travel arrangements (domestic and international) and other administrative duties (i.e. processing travel and expense reports, filing, etc.).Prepare decks and PowerPoint documents for senior-level presentationsHelp with routing of invoices and pulling materials for auditsDesire to learn about prime time show delivery to the Network for air and how to support/route those outside productions with miscellaneous inquiriesSupport the various business set up and integration of various production companies and producers that are acquired or hired

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Bachelor’s degree.2+ years executive assistant experience is necessary.Background and strong interest in the business of televisionAbility to read/interpret/summarize budgets and financial statements for internal senior executivesProficiency with Outlook, Google Docs/Sheets/Slides, Microsoft Excel (including formulas) and PowerPointMature, self-starter professional with attention to detail, superb phone skills, and the ability to prioritize under tight deadlinesAbility to organize and file (for easy/quick reference) confidential contracts, budgets, and corporate financialsUnderstanding of how to prioritize and respond accordingly to changing business needsSelf-starter that is eager to take on varied projects and think ahead of the executive(s)Thrives under pressure and able to handle immediate turnarounds and deadlinesVery positive and professional attitudeProficiency in Excel, Google Docs, and Outlook calendarsPassion about unscripted tv

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $24.25-26.00 per hour for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $20.00-21.50 per hour for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
