SUMMARY

As a Recreation & Leisure Assistant, your organizational skills, customer service and demonstrated compassion allows you to plan and implement meaningful activities for all residents. 

STATUS: Per Diem

LOCATION: Edna Tina Wilson Living Center

DEPARTMENT: Recreation

SCHEDULE: Weekends, 9am-4:30pm

ATTRIBUTES

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills   

High school diploma required

NYS drivers license

Kind and patient focused 

Exceptional planning and management skills 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning & Implementation. Implement group programs and structured individual activities; respond to resident requests; communicate with residents, families, coordinator staff and volunteers

Transportation. Assist with transportation of residents to and from activities

General Assistance. Appropriately prepare for scheduled activities, including coordination of proper supplies and equipment; log daily activities

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
