Summary You will serve as an Assistant in the Warfare Analysis & Digital Modeling Department of NAVSURFWARCENDLD. You will serve as the Assistant to the Deputy Department Head. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. NG-03 is equivalent to GS-07/08. Responsibilities You will ensure that efficient and high quality secretarial/administrative support will be provided across the Department. You will provide support to the employees and Division Heads of the two divisions within the Department. You will serve as the department Training Coordinator. You will support the Acquisition Requirements process. You will coordinate employee travel arrangements and meetings. You will prepare and review documentation related to various types of personnel data/actions. You will maintain multiple calendars, coordinate schedules, and track action items. You will prepare and review government correspondence. You will utilize information technology tools for managing day-to-day work, such as Microsoft Outlook, Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and an automated timekeeping system. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NG-02 (GS-05/06 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing clerical, secretarial, or administrative support functions for an office or manager. Examples of specialized experience may include: preparing correspondence and other documents; coordinating meetings; maintaining the status of action items; scheduling appointments; screening calls or visitors; entering or maintaining data in electronic systems or spreadsheets to support travel, timekeeping, training, or resource tracking. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: One full year of graduate level education in a field of study directly related to the position; OR A combination of specialized experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of specialized experience.
