The Assistant Account Executive provides essential support to the Account Executive and the broader client service team within an insurance agency. This role involves assisting in the management of client accounts, ensuring high-quality service, and handling administrative tasks to maintain smooth operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to build strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of client proposals, renewal presentations, and marketing submissions.Manage policy changes, endorsements, and certificates of insurance.Ensure timely issuance of insurance documents, including binders, policies, and invoices.Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files and records in the agency management system.Communicate with insurance carriers to obtain quotes, clarify coverage details, and resolve any discrepancies.Provide prompt and professional customer service, addressing client inquiries and resolving issues.Support the claims process by facilitating communication between clients and carriers.Track and follow up on pending applications, renewals, and policy changes.Assist with billing inquiries and payment processing as needed.Stay informed about industry trends, insurance products, and regulatory changes.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. Previous experience in an insurance agency or related field is a plus. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with agency management systems (e.g., AMS360, Applied Epic) preferred.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Active insurance license (or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe) is preferred.Valid P&C license preferredKey Competencies:

The expected pay range for this position is $32.96 an hour to $25.71 an hour and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and work location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
