McGovern Medical SchoolatUTHealth Houston, a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), non-tenure clinical track Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor in theDepartment of Surgery, Division ofUrology.
The selected candidate will contribute to the department’s mission to educate health science professionals, discover and translate advances in the biomedical and social sciences, and model the best practices in clinical care and public health through research, teaching, clinical service, administrative activities, and other services.
**Position Key Accountabilities:**
The Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor in Surgery, Division of Urology will provide direct patient care and supervision of medical students and residents in clinic and hospital settings.
· Participating at various Memorial Hermann locations; including participation in a
UT physician group call team for coverage.
· Collaborating with other physicians.
· Being involved in the recruitment, selection, and hiring of new or additional
physicians to the group
· Providing feedback regarding office operations including hiring staff, office
logistics, and new physician recruitment.
· Participating in the education and training of medical students and residents
· Supporting the research mission of the department and university
**Qualifications:**
The selected candidate for the position must have a Texas Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Faculty Temporary License. Certification by the American Board of Surgery is required.
