Assistant/Associate/Full Professor - Chemical Engineering
Job Description:The Department of Chemical Engineering (CHE) in the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering (HWCOE) at the University of Florida invites applications for a full-time, nine-month tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. The position has an anticipated start date of August 2025.
We are seeking candidates in all areas related to Chemical Engineering. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in computational materials research, especially those who have worked with polymers, proteins, or soft interfaces. Proficiency in tools such as ab-initio simulations, atomistic and coarse-grained molecular dynamics (MD), and AI/ML approaches for enhancing classical forcefields and sampling, or other innovative methodologies are encouraged to apply.
The faculty member will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses within the chemical engineering curricula; initiate and sustain externally sponsored research programs; recruit and supervise graduate students; and engage in service activities for the University and the profession. Dedication to excellence in research, teaching, and service, and evidence of scholarly achievements are required.

Expected Salary:Salary to commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Minimum Requirements:Applicants must possess a PhD in a related field by the start date.
Preferred Qualifications:The candidate should have a record of successful proposal writing, PhD student mentoring, scholarship, and classroom teaching. Ideal candidates should have a record of leadership and contributions to collaborative, multi-investigator research projects.
