Essential functions (job duties): Located in the mid-town of Detroit, the Wayne State University (WSU) Computer Science department anticipates hiring multiple open-rank tenure-track faculty starting from Fall 2025. For senior candidates, appointment with tenure is possible. Outstanding candidates who could complement and enhance current department strengths in other areas will be considered. Job duties to include: Develop and maintain a productive research program, including external funding. Supervise the thesis and dissertation research of graduate students. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses and contribute to college and university service activities. Qualifications: Candidates working in Computer Systems including Networking, Distributed and Parallel Computing, Edge and Cloud Computing, Cyber-Physical Systems, Internet of Things, Software Engineering, and related areas are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Computer Science, or closely related field, and the potential for excellence in teaching and research.
