This position reports to (supervisor): Division Head, Hematology & Medical Oncology
The duties of this position are in support of the missions, goals and objectives of OHSU and the School of Medicine and include: participate in the education of medical students and house staff in accordance with assignments to the department by the Curriculum Committee and Chair; care of patients with breast cancer; establish and maintain a program of scholarly activity directed toward improved understanding of the causes, detection and treatment of breast cancer, carry out basic research in division research space assigned by the Division Head; participate in administrative committees and councils of the OHSU as approved by the Chair and Division Head; engage in public service through consultative activities with non-university groups with knowledge and consent of the Chair and Division Head.
It is anticipated the position will be made up of the following components: Clinical, teaching research/academic, and inpatient service.
Required Qualifications MD or MD/PhDLicensed to practice medicine in OregonBoard certified in internal medicineBoard eligible/certified in hematology and/or oncology. Preferred QualificationsProven success working with multi-disciplinary teams, history of training focused on the care of breast cancer patients conducting research via clinical trials, and success in obtaining extramural funds for clinical trials and/or basic science research
