Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit The mission of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro is to provide intellectual leadership in the mathematical sciences that is of direct benefit to the State of North Carolina and that commands national and international respect for the quality of its educational programs and for its depth of scholarship. Position Summary The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG) seeks applications for a tenure track position at the tenure track open rank (Assistant/Associate/Full) position to begin August 1, 2025. All areas of Statistics and Data Science are welcome. Commitment to developing or continuing a research program, broadly defined to include collaborative research and consulting, preferably involving undergraduate students. Tenure will be offered at the Associate or Full rank depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications. Minimum Qualifications The successful candidate must: Hold or anticipate a PhD in Statistics or closely related discipline by August 1, 2025.

Candidates at rank of Associate Professor or Professor with tenure must have: Evidence of scholarly productivity and potential appropriate for rank Evidence of committed and excellent teaching at graduate and undergraduate levels Preferred Qualifications Additional consideration will be given to candidates who also have one or more of the following: Experience in consulting and collaborative research Experience mentoring graduate and undergraduate students Tenure Status Tenure Track Special Instructions to Applicants Applicants should upload the following materials to UNCG’s application portal, Spartan Talent.
