Job Title Assistant/Associate Professor - Counseling Agency Texas A&M University - Texarkana Department CASE - Social Sciences (Counseling, Psychology, & Sociology) Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location Texarkana, Texas Job Type Faculty Job Description The individual appointed to this position will serve as an educator in the CACREP accredited MS Counseling program. Their responsibilities will include teaching a 3/3 course load, as well as participating in faculty meetings and other associated duties such as committee service. On-going scholarly research is expected. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: + Teach graduate courses in our CACREP-accredited master’s degree program in clinical mental health counseling. + Advise graduate students. + Work collaboratively with faculty across disciplines. + Contribute to curriculum, maintenance of CACREP accreditation, course development, and commitment to innovative teaching technologies. + Serve on departmental, academic, and university committees/assignments. + Perform professional and scholarly research. + Co-back up Faculty Advisor Chi Sigma Iota. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Minimum Qualifications + Earned doctorate in counseling from a CACREP-accredited program in counselor education. + Hold or be eligible to hold a professional counselor’s license + Documented success in teaching graduate courses in counselor education. + Documented success in the supervision of graduate student interns. + Evidence of scholarship and research agenda. + Experience with web-based instruction. + Experience working with CACREP Accreditation + Professional Counseling Association membership Preferred Qualifications + Experience with Canvas + Experience with supervision + Experience with Typhon software + Experience with Adobe + Experience with Microsoft Office TO APPLY: Upload your cover letter, resume/CV, copies of your transcripts and three (3) professional references, including contact information with one reference being a supervisor/manager in the questionnaire section of your application.
