Sam Houston State offers CACREP accredited graduate programs in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, School Counseling and Ph.D in Counselor Education. Responsibilities would include teaching, advising, clinical supervision, scholarship and professional service to the department, participating in research and publications specific to counseling. Candidate will be expected to utilize technology and may periodically be assigned to teach an online course. Educational Requirements for the Position Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Counselor Education from a CACREP institution is preferable. Experience Required for the Position Preferred Qualifications:
Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. If licensed in another state and offered the position, candidate must seek licensure in Texas.
Successful teaching experience in higher education, utilizing distant and in person delivery systems.
