Location: Utica, NY Category: Academic Posted On: Mon Nov 4 2024 Job Description: The successful candidate will teach 9-12 credit hours per semester, advise students, and maintain a portfolio of scholarship. In addition to teaching, research, and service responsibilities, SUNY Poly faculty members have the opportunity to engage in curriculum development, industry collaboration, and community outreach. Health Information Management courses are delivered online, and the candidate will be expected to teach and advise students online. In addition, the successful candidate will have opportunities to collaborate with faculty and multidisciplinary research centers organized under the thematic areas defined in SUNY Poly's 2024 Strategic Plan: Materials, Robotics & Advanced Manufacturing; AI and Information Technology; Smart Infrastructure and Sustainability; and Healthcare & Wellbeing. Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: + Master's Degree required from an institution accredited by the US Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting body. + Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) + Proficiency with online Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Blackboard, D2L, or Canvas. Preferred Qualifications: + A PhD degree in relevant field of study. Doctoral candidates are encouraged to apply. + Advanced Degree (i.e., MPH, MS) or extensive training in epidemiology + Previous teaching experience + Demonstrated professional experience in health information management.
