This position involves the investigation and prosecution of complex insurance and unemployment fraud cases. Cases will include workers’ compensation fraud; unemployment tax and compensation fraud; motor vehicle insurance fraud; arson; false injury and property loss claims; fraud committed in the context of life, health, disability, and other types of insurance contracts; and claims committed by claimants, employers, medical providers, insurance industry insiders, and attorneys. _Primary Duties_: Evaluate complaints and investigation files from referral sources; formulate investigative strategies; prepare search warrants; analyze documents; interview witnesses; conduct document and witness-intensive grand jury investigations; prepare immunity and/or cooperation agreements, as needed; make charging, venue, and plea-bargaining recommendations; and prosecute complex criminal cases in district and superior court.
