A career at Old Course Hotel, what’s not to love? *All benefits subject to availability **About the Role** Our award-winning Food and Beverage team are at the hub of our business, we have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager in the Road Hole Bar overlooking the Old Course. The Road Hole Bar has whisky enthusiasts flock from around the world to sample some of the three hundred whiskies we stock from all over Scotland. The bar also has an excellent selection of cocktails, champagnes and wines for our guests to enjoy. **Duties and Responsibilities** · Maintaining standards and operating procedures · Ensuring all service and bar processes are followed, taking every effort to control costs · Support and coach direct reports effectively, ensuring the highest standard of customer service is provided to all guests · Resolving any guest complaints satisfactory, ensuring all expectations are met and retaining customer loyalty · Forecasting for staffing requirements, ensuring staff volumes are adequate · Maintaining high standards of performance via appraisals and personal development plans, in line with our business values and objectives · Drive the success of our Food and Beverage Team through identifying continuous improvement areas **Ideal Candidate will have:** - Proven experience in supervising teams within a bar or restaurant environment. - Strong knowledge of bartending practices, including cocktail preparation and presentation. - Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate associates effectively. - Familiarity with food safety regulations and culinary practices related to beverage service. - Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer interaction. - Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. - A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organisational skills.
