About the Job:
Under general supervision, the Assistant Buyer will support the Buyer in managing all aspects of Women’s brands to drive results that meet or exceed the planned financial and qualitative goals. This position is responsible for maintaining all systems, managing the receipt flow, building partnerships among the department and all internal and external partners. The Assistant Buyer will work closely with cross-functional partners in visual merchandising, planning/ allocation, digital, and marketing for strong execution of brand(s) across all platforms to drive the results of the brand(s). The Assistant Buyer will perform business analysis and recommend courses of action to be taken to reconcile actual performance to plan. The assistant will present in open forums and provide value-added comments. The Assistant Buyer will need to exhibit exceptional communication and organizational skills as they will be the liaison between Pacsun and their brand(s), which requires professionalism and the highest level of detail. Assistant Buyer’s emphasis will be on key branded partnerships on the Women’s side of the business.
A day in the life, what you’ll be doing:
· Maintaining strong relationships with key brand(s) through daily communication
· Analyzing business results for Stores and Digital and making recommendations for their brand(s) in partnership with Buyer
· Presenting new strategies and opportunities for sales and profits for their brand(s) in partnership with Buyer
· Identify opportunities and risks in-season through analyzing sales performance with Buyer
· Prepare for meetings/projects with Buyer, Planners, Allocators, Digital/Store Teams
· Work with both Visual Merchandising and Site Merchandising for best execution of brand(s)
· Administrative Responsibilities Including: PO Maintenance, Management of Receipt Flow, Sample Management
· Market Research and Brand Incubation; Focus on identifying next brand partnerships
· Non-essential duties as assigned by Buyer
What it takes to Join:

· Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Must be task driven and pro-active when it comes to executing tasks
· Retail experience preferred
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
Salary: $66,560-$70,214

Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building. Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel may be required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. As a National Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
