Job Summary
We are looking for an Assistant Cafe Manager to join our awesome team!
As the Assistant Cafe Manager, you are responsible for assisting the Cafe Manager on the overall success of the Cafe. This means adhering to our user’s (partner) culture and guidelines, the Health Department’s regulations, and Compass standards and expectations of food quality, freshness and presentation.
Alongside the Cafe Manager, the Assistant Cafe Manager will manage the daily operations of the cafe including selection, development, and performance management of employees. You will also motivate and direct all employees to accomplish the objectives of the operation to the satisfaction of the customers, and maintain a working relation with the user.

The great things you will do
+ Manage workplace and food safety, including allergen management
+ Set an expectation of hospitality that is friendly and that truly engages our guests
+ Upskill, train and develop your team
+ Monitor and manage all financial & budget responsibilities whilst making sure our standards are always the best
+ Meets all timelines for payroll, service, accounts receivables, human resources, corporate office and all other timelines given by Client and management
+ Create a culture of Food and Workplace Safety & ensure that all operations meet the highest standards
+ Attends monthly safety meetings and participates in safety inspections.
+ Operate Web based ordering systems, process customer requests, changes to orders, menu updates and client profiles
What we look for in a candidate
+ Ability to drive and enhance a culture of Food and Workplace Safety
+ Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience
+ Minimum of 1 years of applicable experience in a like volume and quality food service establishment
+ Restaurant, hotel & events experience is a plus
+ Ability to integrate diverse perspectives and experiences
+ Excellent communication skills - written & verbal
+ Proficient in computer and technical skills, working knowledge of Google Suite tools, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
+ Managing in a Union Environment is a plus
+ ServSafe Certification
