Summary Description
The Assistant Category Merchandiser assists the Category Merchandisers with the tactical work and tasks associated with driving and sustaining a category (categories) of business online. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, pre-work and execution of key launches, campaigns, new programs, and pre-sales, merchandising the site through building taxonomy/navigation and collections, creating and completing all marketing collections and links, completing online Marketing requests, managing pricing and promotional requests to ensure alignment of messaging on site. Partners with content team to ensure new products are set up on the site for sale. Maintaining order by organizing files, documents, and other important information. . Conducting research and gather information on various topics, providing Category Merchandiser with the data they need to make informed decisions. Complete Special Projects as determined by Category Merchandiser to benefit the category. Accountability for completing requested tasks on time, with quality and accuracy to ensure a positive Athlete experience.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Ecommerce Marketing Execution: Assists Category Merchandiser with execution of site and marketing strategy for category. Create marketing requests, collections/links, to support site strategy. Proof site to ensure accuracy and strong Athlete experience. This includes support for homepage, email, online tab, category/family pages, social, and deals. Execute site marketing and promotional tasks to drive category through area and global campaigns.
Web Merchandising & Execution: Set up of products online to adhere to category strategies to increase web conversion and ensure site taxonomy, navigation, attribution and pages are positioned competitively. Complete pre-work and execution of key launches, campaigns, new programs, and pre-sales, Partner with Content Team to ensure on-time delivery of new products on the site for sale and prep site for key product launches with vendor partnership.
Business Review: Support on Ad Hoc and Merchandising Reporting. Monitoring performance, identifying opportunities, and partnering with the Category Merchandiser to make recommendations to drive for business results. Must maintain accuracy, and timely completion to enable to ability to react quickly in the digital space.
Special Projects: Execute as determined by Category Merchandiser.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, MIS, Merchandising
1-3 years experience in Marketing, Retail, Ecommerce
Omniture or Web Analytics Tools (Preferred)
Content Management System (Preferred)
Photoshop is a plus
Must have excellent time management skills, strong sense of urgency, be able to multi task, and work autonomously.
Must possess a positive attitude, be creative and a high degree of flexibility
