DescriptionThe overall scope is to ensure the efficient operation of the Engineering department supporting all other operating departments. This includes supplying services as required by the entire operation and maintaining equipment, building and grounds in optimum condition.\n

Key Responsibilities\nO:

The incumbent in this position is responsible to coordinate and manage the day to day maintenance and up keep of the hotel as it pertains to Engineering, under the direction of the Chief Engineering.
The job of Assistant Chief Engineer is executed satisfactorily when:\nThere are no serious incidents or accidents.\nNo serious guest complaints in relation to maintenance.\nPOMEC costs remains within budget.\nThe team is motivated and efficient.\nAt Kempinski, Talent Development is a management responsibility and consequently an integral and important part of our Managers’ daily activities. 
The Assistant Chief Engineer fulfils their role as a Talent Development Ambassador when:
\nThey actively support and implement Talent Development initiatives as a part of their daily activities.\nThey identify Training talents in their department and throughout the hotels as per below definition* and actively support their career development.\nThey support and initiate transfer, cross exposure and task force assignments for their team.\nThey personally conduct TTTTs with their team on a regular basis and take personal interest for their talents’ development plans.\nThey recruit and select potential talent according to the Company’s current and future hotel, regional and worldwide needs including conducting interviews for positions in their department and their region.\nMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
\nEnsure preventive and corrective maintenance of the real estate.\nEnsure the production and supply of energy at all times.\nCoordinate and supervise contractors to ensure compliance with specifications and the hotel’s procedures in regards to the guest contact.\nOptimize maintenance costs.\nComply with all Kempinski company policies.\nAdditional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and of the hotel.\n

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise\nELIGIBILITY:   Eligible to work in an EU contract with immediate effect

EDUCATION: \tEngineer in all HVACR, architect or equivalent background

EXPERIENCE:\t\t\tTo fill the position the following is required:\nVery good knowledge of building equipment: heating, ventilation, plumbing, electricity, automatic operation\nMinimum 2 years experience in building technology\nSuccessful experience in a position of responsibility including management of staff\nExperience in the maintenance of buildings and facilities HVACR\n\nLANGUAGE: Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment  \nEnglish is a must – excellent oral and written skills\nLocal language is an asset – oral and written skills (as applicable)\nAdditional language - beneficial\n\nCOMPETENCIES:\t\t\tInclude the skills the candidate must have to fill this position:\nFaculty of analysis, evaluation and decision making in  the day-to-day business and in the case of emergency \nVery good organisation and work planning skills\nVery good leadership by leading, motivating and empowering multidisciplinary teams\n\nTECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:\tComputer literacy adapted to the field of training:\nSoftware office (word, Excel, Access)\nEngineering Administration system\n\n
