Summary

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for an Assistant Chief of Public Safety for ASM Global/Mercedes-Benz Superdome | Smoothie King Center | Champions Square.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Oversees all Public Safety personnel, training programs, payroll, and accountingDevelops policy guidelinesRecommends disciplinary actionConducts inspections and audits to assure the quality of service of subordinate personnelParticipates in event planning efforts and coordinates with clientsApproves incident reports and requiredConducts preliminary investigations relevant to personnel complaintsIntervenes in disturbances/incidents to maintain peace or to restore order. Effects arrests where warranted and authorizedPerforms other related duties as directedReviews the work performance of all subordinate personnelServes as an informational source to the public for company activities and events such as athletic events, conferences, performances, etc.All other duties as assigned.

Must be at least 21 years of ageMust successfully pass a criminal and Driver’s License background checkWorking knowledge of Constitutional, Statutory, and Civil LawWorking knowledge of Business and Facility Management, Emergency Planning, Emergency Management, Legal and Regulatory aspects, Crowd Management, and Security Principles and Practices preferredSupervisory/Management in Security/Loss Prevention experience, related Facility Security Management background preferredYou must own your own firearm.Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma or equivalentFour-year college degree preferred, but law enforcement or security-related management background could be consideredMinimum of 3-years’ security or police experience preferred

       

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must possess a valid Louisiana Driver’s license at the time of appointment and throughout employment
