Job Description
Assist in implementing and maintaining HACCP and sanitation standards across all food and beverage operations.Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with hygiene and cleanliness standards.Manage inventory, including ordering, storage, and tracking of equipment, utensils, and cleaning supplies.Monitor breakage, damage, and loss of items, ensuring that proper protocols are followed.Oversee waste management, ensuring efficient practices and adherence to environmental and sustainability guidelines.Assist in developing and managing the daily roster for the stewarding team, including daily hires.Supervise and train the stewarding team to ensure high performance and adherence to departmental standards.Ensure that all kitchens, dining areas, and back-of-house areas are kept clean and organized.Coordinate with the culinary and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth operations and timely service.Report any issues or discrepancies to the Chief Steward and assist in problem-solving.Assist in managing the stewarding department’s budget, ensuring that costs are kept within control.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a stewarding or kitchen environment, preferably in a supervisory role.Knowledge of HACCP and health and safety regulations.Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.Ability to manage inventories and control costs effectively.Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train and motivate a team.Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.Ability to handle breakage, waste, and damage reports in a professional manner.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.Flexible and willing to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.Proficiency in Thai is required.
