The Assistant Civil/Environmental Engineer will work under the supervision of a licensed professional engineer to assist project teams to create world class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments on a variety of projects. The Assistant Civil/Environmental Engineer will work with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting civil plans according to budget constraints, design factors or client needs.
Candidate will be responsible for understanding, applying, designing, and technically supporting the construction of water lines and sewer lines for municipal and industrial clients.In addition, the candidate will be responsible for piping design, permitting support, route analysis, jurisdictional coordination, pipe and appurtenance material selection, specification and drawing development, and construction administration for water/wastewater pipeline projects.Additional duties include identifying and obtaining projects, contributing to the technical growth of the group, staff mentoring, inter-discipline coordination, developing budgets and schedules, client development, and client maintenance.Executes complex assignments requiring the use of advanced techniques, resulting in the development of new or improved processes, equipment and/or technological methods.May develop and evaluate plans for major projects.May assess feasibility or soundness of proposed applications when data is insufficient or testing is advisable.Other duties as assigned.
